Overview
Our school uses a theme-based curriculum to deliver age-appropriate lessons, activities, and crafts with an emphasis on play. The school consists of a three-room cooperative learning center. Each room is set up for optimizing creative learning and play. Our main room includes a reading corner, book display, large play kitchen and housekeeping station, dress-up area, and puppetry stations. Also, a place for our small blocks, doll houses and train table. Our back "block room" is an area for students to play with large blocks that promote creative and constructive play. This room is also used for group discussion, quiet reading time, and group music and games. The Kitchen is our third room where snack time is held. This room also features a paint station and a sensory table. Our kitchen and main room have student tables for craft stations and student center-based activities

9:15 - 9:30 Brief group meeting for discussion & calendar
9:30 - 9:50 Shared storytime
9:50 - 10:55 Self choice-craft and activity centers, creative play experience, snack time
10:55 - 11:10 Clean up & Quiet reading time
11:10 - 11:25 Group music, rhythms, games
11:30 - 11:45 Outdoor play and dismissal
When available, we have volunteers from our local library and local musicians that provide an added learning opportunity for our students. We are very grateful to these volunteers and their generosity to our students and school.

A trip to a local pumpkin patch
Visit from the local fire department

2 Day
The two-day preschool program meets Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 9:00-11:45. The two-day program is open to children who are 2.9 years of age as of September 1. Total number of children in class: 20.
3 Day Program
The three day preschool program meets Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings from 9:00 - 11:45. The three-day program is open to children who are 3.9 years of age as of September 1. Total number of children in class: 20.
